Assam Rhinos Cricket Club (ARCC) was formed by brainstorming of cricketers from different professional backgrounds and diverse communities in London. The Club’s early fixtures were played against well established clubs since 2012. From 2015 the club will become more active, playing both home and away matches.

The name of the club is derived from the birthplace of the club founders; Assam in North East India. One of the club's main objectives is to raise awareness about the indiscriminate poaching of the endangered one horn rhino in Assam. With this objective in mind, Assam Rhinos has partnered with the international charity Save the Rhinos International ( to raise awareness about the poaching of one horned Rhinos in Assam, India and promote wildlife conservation.

Assam Rhinos aims to become a fun, friendly and progressive club where everyone is welcome to play cricket and contribute to a worthy cause.

Assam Rhinos Cricket Club’s motto is ‘Rhino conservation through cricket’.
